A new Residential Institutions Statutory Fund will be set up soon, replacing the current Education Finance Board (EFB). It follows a new law called Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Act 2012 that has been recently passed by the Government. The Minister for Education and Skills is in process of appointing new Chair and Board member for the Fund and will advertise new CEO within months. €110 million is being made available to support those who received compensation from Redress Board such as counselling, access to service and education support.
