Cork-based interpreter Cormac Leonard has put together an information
leaflet about accredited Sign Language interpreters working in Cork.
A man who claims he was physically and sexually abused as a child while he attended an institute for the hearing impaired is seeking to sue a group of Quebec Catholic priests.
UPC Ireland are no longer offering the 888 subtitles service on BBC, Channel 4 and other channels.
They have said this service has been turned off at source and that there is nothing they can do about it.
This is a big step backwards for the deaf community in Ireland to lose this service.
